Cleaner Betty’s night shift turns fateful: she rescues drugged stranger Eli, an elite tycoon, and they share an impulsive night. Next morning she leaves to help best friend Ivy, while Eli searches for her. Ivy poses as Eli’s mystery woman, lies that her ex-husband’s child is his, and steals Betty’s place. Betty later raises the baby alone while in medical school. Six years later, she becomes Eli’s private physician; the mother-daughter pair feels familiar, making him question everything.
